The first time I heard about Trillium, I thought to myself, "Wow! I bet a piano, flute and violin trio has to sound really pretty together." Little did I know that they would sound fuller than I had thought, as well. They have such great arrangements, too. Being a musician myself, I was just blown away by the different sounds they make. I particularly loved their arrangement and performance of "Simple Gifts". Just beautiful. They can disappear into the background as mood music or they can really stand out as featured artists; they're very sensitive about when to do which.
